Fitra is a simple fitness and wellness tracker that competes in the same area than the Xiaomi mi-band and the Apple Watch. They provide a connected bracelet, in 4 colors, suitable for man and woman who want to introduce themselves to the world of health tracking in an affordable way.
They wanted an online store to start the pre-orders for their Fitra fitness tracker.
Being the only product they would sell, the amount of information being present on the side would be fairly minimal, thus it would be quite difficult to fill the website, especially the homepage with a lot of information without putting the product at a disadvantage.
Pre-existing themes weren't very suitable in this case, as most of them have a multi-products setup, or would be slightly out of budget if we would've gone for a theme that we would modify later down the line.
We decided that it would be more cost effective to build the store from scratch and to stick with a minimal approach for the design, so that the copy could be spaced and breathe a lot, while allowing the product to be put upfront and be the star of the show.
By focusing on a minimal design, playing with large photos of the product and big, bold titles for the product name, we achieved the desired effect of putting the brand and its flagship product at a clear advantage.
